As a licensed counselor and founder of A Safe Space Counseling, it's very important for me to create a space and a team dedicated to providing the tools we need to overcome these challenges. I have dedicated my life with enhancing my studies to provide the base tools to help you understand yourself, feel happier, and more fulfilled as a child, a person, partner, and as a professional. BRITT BLAKEyBritt Blakey has worked with children for over thirty years in various roles. During her teaching career, she saw first-hand the intersection of mental health and education, and she decided to go back to school, recently completing her Master's in Social Work (MSW) with a Play Therapy certificate from the University of Central Florida (UCF).
Britt is a compassionate and solution-oriented therapist, rooted in neuroscience and humanistic principles with a solid foundation of Conscious Discipline®. She integrates somatic experiences, playful approaches, and energy psychology techniques to support clients of all ages and populations. She believes that everyone has the innate wisdom to overcome obstacles and lead fulfilling lives. With a deep understanding of the complex dynamics of learning, growth, and well-being, she is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment for all clients to thrive. When she's not guiding clients toward their brilliance, Britt enjoys laughing and playing as much as she possibly can, talking to friends, dancing and listening to music, doing arts and crafts, learning new things, indulging in reality TV, and spending quality time with her wife and son. |

Ryan UnerRyan's journey began as an educator working with children with learning disabilities, particularly ADHD and Autism. His passion for helping these kids led him to transition from teaching to providing mental health support.
Pursuing a Master’s degree in counseling, Ryan gained valuable experience working with foster youth at a children’s home and specialized training in sandtray and EMDR therapy. Ryan is dedicated to supporting children with exceptional needs and neurodiversity, along with their families, fostering confidence and acceptance in their unique journeys. He has a deep passion for neuroscience and play therapy, using playful and creative approaches to make therapy engaging and effective for children. Ryan loves helping people of all ages with trauma recovery, guiding them toward healing and resilience. Inspired by his personal experiences with brain injury and seizures, Ryan aims to expand mental health services and knowledge within the epileptic community in the future. |
